Celebrations began on Friday morning when the senior classes made fresh yeast rolls for everyone. 6th class continued in the kitchen making tasty brownies for the football players. Medals were presented to the players during the day by Mr Hayes and Mr. Cronin, the cup was shown to all the young students in the school encouraging them for the years to come. Well done to the players from 5th and 6th classes who were victorious over Rathbarry NS in the final in Dunmanway on Thursday
Children from 3rd,4th, 5th and 6th classes visit West Cork Secret for an action packed day of outdoor activity.
Good luck to the boys in 5th and 6th classes tomorrow in the FAI soccer county finals in Turners Cross.
Damien from Dunmanway RFC started a five week training session with the senior room today. Today he worked on ball skills and movment. We are looking forward to next Thursday.
The boys from 5th and 6th classes travelled to Clonakilty to take part in the FAI primary schools blitz for West Cork. The Drinagh boys topped their group winning 4, and drawing 1 game. They now advance to the quarter finals in a few weeks. Thank you to Robert and Danny for their help and guidance today . Well done lads!! Excitement was running high today, as we reached the final of lunchtime football league . Team captains Tom and Eoin led their teams in a very sporting manner under the watchful eye of Mr. Cronin. the score was level at the full time whistle. After extra time Eoin's team were victorious. Well done to everyone in 3rd to 6th classes for competing over the last few weeks. The Food Dudes programme is used to encourage children to eat more fruit and vegetables at home and in school. Day 1 we got bananas and peppers delivered to school.
