All pupils took part in a skipathon today to raise money for refugees in Leros. Monies raised will be used to purchase socks and clothing for children who arrive in open boats from Turkey.
The sun made a rare appearance for the FAI primary school soccer blitz held in Blarney today. Drinagh NS competed against Cloughduv NS, Ballygiblin NS and Inchigeela NS where a place for the county finals in Turners Cross was up for grabs. Drinagh topped their group and then advanced on to the final to play the winners of group 1. Drinagh NS played with great confidence and were victorious in the final. Next stop is Turners Cross in March..... GO DRINAGH!!
Best of luck to the boys in 4th, 5th and 6th classes who compete in the FAI primary schools soccer competition tomorrow in Blarney.
In the interest of safety for everybody during this cold spell, the school will not open until 11 am tomorrow Friday 15th January. In the event of this weather continuing, you will be kept informed about school openings here on the school website.
