The Drinagh Rangers U-16 and U-14 girl's team are certainly on a winning streak with victory for both groups in the league and Schoolgirls Cup. Not only are these ladies fantastic soccer players, they are great role models for the boys and girls in Drinagh NS.
We are having a great time developing our cycling skills with our cycling coach Ulick. The boys and girls are looking forward to more cycling sessions over the coming weeks.
We really enjoyed our trip to the cinema in Bantry to see Puss in Boots. It was a well deserved treat for the students for putting on such a fantastic performance last month. It was a fun filled day of movies, popcorn and laughter with friends.
St Brigid's Blessing
May no fire, no flame burn us. May no lake, no sea, drown us. May no sword, no spear wound us. May no king or chief insult us. May all the birds sing for us. May all the cattle low for us. May all the insects buzz for us. May the angels of God always protect us Although Friday 13th is unlucky for some, this certainly wasn't the case for Drinagh NS. The students put on a spectacular performance of the Wizard of Oz in Drinagh hall. We are all still amazed by their talent, hard work and courage. A big thank you once again to all those who were involved in making it such a memorable night. There was so much practice, preparation and fun in the lead up to our musical The Wizard of Oz. It was great to capture all these special moments. We are so thankful you followed the yellow brick road to Drinagh hall on Friday 13th to see our performance! |
