Students have been keeping warm and busy this week in Santa's workshop, making Christmas crafts and enjoying hot chocolate.

3rd to 6th class put all their skills into practise at a rugby blitz at Dunmanway Rugby Club on Monday. They ran, dodged, touched down but most of all had fun with their classmates.
1st and 2nd class made the most of the sunny weather a few weeks ago to complete a colour themed nature hunt. They found a friendly frog along the way too.
Ms Swanton has reported that the ducklings hatched during the summer term in Drinagh NS are thriving. 1st and 2nd class did an excellent job nurturing them. We are very thankful to coach Damian from Munster Rugby for visiting us every Monday for the past month to help us develop our rugby skills. We are finally getting the hang of the backwards pass!
The boys and girls once again did a fantastic and creative job for dress up day. We are all now definitely in the Halloween spirit. We would like to wish you all an enjoyable midterm break. We all really enjoyed the delicious and nutritious soup prepared and served by Mrs O' Mahony and 6th Class.
Pupils and staff of Drinagh NS really enjoyed our day out orienteering at Glenview Gardens. We had a fun filled stop off at the playground before arriving to Enniskeane where the boys and girls navigated their way around the beautiful gardens.
Staff and students at Drinagh NS would like to give a very warm welcome to our new junior infants. They are settling in really well and we are enjoying getting to know them.As we look forward to a new school year of learning, fun and friendship at Drinagh NS, we look back fondly on our memories from a very enjoyable summer term. |
